Ola Electric Scooter to launch in India this July

 


·        Ola will bring its first e-scooter to the Indian Market in July and then to Global market.

·        Last year, Ola had announced it will invest 2,400 crore to setup a factory in Tamil Nadu.


For the first time Ola is going to introduce its Electric Scooter to the Indian Market in July. And also working to claim “Hypercharger Network” will set up over 1,00,000 charging points across 400 cities.

Ola Hypercharger is the fastest two-wheeler charging network. The firm claims that the charging station would be able to charge Ola’s Electric scooter by 50% in just 18 minutes that will enough for a 75km ride.

The company will be priced to make them affordable to buyers in India.

The Ola charging stations will be developed as stand-alone towers. These are located in popular locations such as malls, IT parks, office complexes, and cafes. And Ola Electric customers always have charging points nearby.

Ola Electric website says “Automated, multilevel charging and parking systems in popular areas across multiple cities ensure you’ll easily find a place that’s always up for charging."

Customers will be able to monitor the charging status in real-time on the Ola Electric App. And also provided a seamless pay for charging through the app.

Ola providing a service to Ola electric customers will include a home charger that will require no installation. This will allows customers to charge their vehicle at home by plugging in regularly by a wall socket for charging.

An Average daily distance cover by 30km, yearly fuel costs around ₹19,224 over yearly charge costs for Ola Electric Scooty for ₹4,104.

In first year Ola will set up over 5,000 charging points across 100 cities in India.

Last year, Ola had claimed an investment of around 2,400 crores for setting up its first electric scooter factory in Tamil Nadu. This will initially have an annual capacity of 2 million units. The company also has plans to export to the foreign market.
