Honda commits to shift all of its global car to electric vehicles (EVs) and Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) by 2040

Honda Motor Company Ltd. is a Japanese public multination company manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles, jet, aero-engine, and power equipment.  On 19th April 2021, Honda exhibited the world premiere of the Honda SUV e: prototype. It was the First Honda brand electric vehicle (EVs) model in China.

Toshihiro Mibe, the company's new CEO, announced that Honda will commit to selling only battery electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2040. The company will gradually phase out gasoline engines, in the next two decades gasoline engine vehicles will result to gradually disappears. For this, Honda is making some moves to more electric vehicles around the world.

Honda's new CEO Toshihiro Mibe said "Honda will work comprehensively to address challenges in the areas of the environment and safety. At the same time, for the future, Honda will strive to lead advancements which will be made in the areas of mobility, the power unit, energy and robotics."

The Japanese carmaker Honda will be providing a strategic backup to achieve the target. Honda is trying to increase the manufacturing ratio of battery-electric vehicles (EVs) and Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) in all major markets to 40% of its new vehicle sales by 2030, to 80% by 2035, and 100% by
