Volvo uses Nvidia chips for Autonomous Driving Function(AI) in Upcoming Cars From Next Year
Volvo is upgrading its upcoming cars with Artificial Intelligence to build self driving vehicles. On Monday Volvo officially confirmed about Nvidia chips are going to use in upcoming Automation cars. Volvo's future arriving vehicles with a new generation of high powered inbuilt Nvidia chips to enable more autonomous driving function. Volvo might go to all Electric by 2030 could sell online exclusively. Nvidia Cheif Executive Jensen Huang told on Monday to investors, Nvidia forecasts it can generate $8 billion (around Rs. 60,220 crores) in revenue over the next six years from sales of its Nvidia DRIVE automotive systems. Nvidia is developing a new on-board computer system on a chip, this provides computing power found in a data center to car, this should be ready for 2025 models.
Volvo, coming with a new generation XC90 car by spot utility launch in next year. It will use Nvidia's new Drive Orin system with more processing power than, Volvo vehicles currently using Nvidia chips.
