Summary: Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing and supporting company’s client/server infrastructure, LAN, WAN, SAN and Virtual environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  


  • Maintains Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, VMware, SAN, HP, Cisco, IIS and other enterprise systems.
  • Performs updates/upgrades to servers & workstations. 
  • Maintains networking equipment including firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Manages, monitors and maintains Storage Area Network.
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control and evaluation; maintains documentation.
  • Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications
  • Identifies methods, solutions and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.
  • Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
  • Implements & ensures compliance of security policies & procedures.
  • Updates documentation to record new equipment installed, new sites, and changes to computer configurations.
  • Works with new and existing vendors to maintain equipment & software.
  • Provides second level help desktop support providing escalation assistance.
  • Coordinates installation or installs communications lines. 


Knowledge and Skills: 


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of VMWare and VMView, SAN software; Accounting software; Database software; Design software; Monitoring software; Internet software


Ability to:


  • Read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.  
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
