Job Description:

The Vice-Chancellor is the principal executive and academic officer of the University and he exercises general supervision and control over the affairs of the University and gives effect to the decisions of all the authorities of the University.

 Skills and competencies:

                 The person is expected to have the following:\

• Outstanding scientific achievement to his/her credit in the field of agriculture.
• Record of successful administration and management of science preferably of agricultural education/research/extension at a higher level.
• Modern and forward looking approach with broader scientific perspective particularly in the field of agricultural education and research.
• Vision and proven leadership qualities to communicate and inspire academic, research, extension and administrative staff.
•  Initiative and innovative abilities.
• Experience of interaction with other academic and research organizations at National/International level. 

Educational qualification & experience

• Should have a Ph.D. degree in any branch of agricultural or allied sciences.
• Should be an eminent scientist/teacher having at least 10 years experience as Professor or equivalent including 3 years experience in Research/Teaching/Extension management.
•  Should have evidence of contributions to Teaching/Research/Extension as supported by publications/innovations and demonstrated leadership.
